Friday Favorites & July Books~July 30, 2021

And just like that, my summer has come to a close. I am back to work today, but loving that my first contract day this school year lands on a Friday!

Have you all been watching the Olympics like I have? It is on all day in our house. I love the Olympics so much. They are definitely a Friday Favorite. I especially love the behind the scene looks at the athletes' lives. This made me laugh out loud...

Today's post is a lot of randomness, including my July books.

I am linking up with Andrea and Erika today to share my Friday Favorites!

ONE

I read three books in July:

by Sarah Penner
🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was so good! It blends a modern day story with events from the past. It is full of intrigue, suspense, and romance. I really enjoyed it!

by Fiona Ferris
🌟🌟🌟🌟

I own all of Fiona Ferris' books on my Kindle. They are full of relatable advice on how to live a simple, luxurious life. Her books always make me feel uplifted and inspired.

by Trish Doller
🌟🌟🌟

This book came highly recommended but I thought it was just okay. Disclaimer, there is a trigger warning in the beginning of the book because the main character's fiance' has committed suicide. She takes off on his boat to sail the trip they had planned together. Enter an expert sailor to help her navigate the rough waters of the sea and her emotions. You see where this is going. It was okay for a romantic(-ish) read, but not my favorite.

TWO
I have also been researching and upgrading my skincare products this summer. This one is a new favorite of mine. It's never too early (or late) to add an effective eye cream to the skincare routine. Side note, I am really intrigued by any product with vitamin C in it after researching the benefits.

THREE

My new shoes had to make this post. They are on major sale, so lightweight and comfortable, and come in a wide range of styles. I had never heard of this brand before, but I am now a fan! My pretty office rug can be found here.

FOUR

This week's garden harvest has to be included in my Friday Favorites. Nothing says summer like fresh veggies and herbs from the garden. Now I need some new recipes! I absolutely make this one every year with my tomato harvest. Feel free to pass along any of your favorites and help a girl out!

FIVE

Finally, the Nordstrom Sale is now open for public access. You can find all of my favorite things from the sale in last week's post.

I am extremely happy with this purchase from the sale. I have worn them non-stop since receiving my shipment. The quality is amazing!

Thank you for stopping by my happy little corner of the internet. I would love to have you join me over on Instagram and LTK.it if you don't already follow me there.

Have the best weekend!

xo,
Deanna
