I love when Halloween falls on a weekend! And all the educators said, "AMEN!"
I love the costumes, candy, fall weather...but to me, Halloween kicks off the holiday season and I love that most of all!

During the month of October, I like to read a few books that up the spooky factor. I read four books total this month, and two fit the bill for being suspenseful!

If you loved Elin's book 28 Summers, this is the addendum to that book and wraps everything up so well. I love Hilderbrand's books and these two are among my favorites! Make sure you read 28 Summers before this one.

We all know my love for biographies and autobiographies because I find people's lives and journeys fascinating. Matthew McConaughey's stories are interesting, strange, and give insight into how experiences shape who people are.

While the details were a bit unbelievable at times, this book was twisty and kept me guessing. I loved the characters and the plot line. Just suspenseful enough without being scary.

As a mom, the premise of this book is terrifying. The main character's son is abducted in the beginning of the book. What unfolds from there is an unfolding of secrets in the most unimaginable of experiences. This book was one I hated to love. I hope that makes sense!
