We are on our way home today from our summer vacation. One of our stops was a week-long beach vacation in the Florida panhandle. This was our family's second trip to 30A, so I thought it would be fun to share our 30A Faves!

What is 30A?
30A is the name of a county highway in the panhandle of Florida that links Destin and Panama City Beach. It is roughly 20 miles long and includes Rosemary Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Sandestin, Watercolor, Dune Allen, Seaside, Gulf Place, Alys Beach, Seacrest, Seagrove, Watersound, Miramar, Inlet, and Seascape. The beaches are white sand and beautiful!
Getting There
Previously, our family has driven to 30A, which has the benefit of being able to bring food, essentials, and beach gear rather than buying it there. This time, however, I flew into the Florida Northwest Beaches Airport and it was very convenient! The airport is small and easy to navigate and it was a quick $50 Uber to the house we rented.
This is our second time staying in the Prominence neighborhood in Watersound. We love it here. It has so many amenities and allows us to access all of our favorite beach towns. I order Instacart for our groceries on the day of our arrival and we save money by eating breakfast and lunch at the house. We rent a three bedroom and it is perfection. Our house this time included a six person golf cart (they are street legal on all of 30A) and five bikes, but we have rented these separately in the past as well. The one thing you will not find on 30A is a chain restaurant. Well, with the exception of one Starbucks, everything else is locally owned. We love this!
Eat
There are so many places to eat on 30A, but our favorites are:
The Donut Hole for breakfast,
Fonville Press for coffee,
and
The Old Florida Fish House for a nicer diner.
Rosemary Beach for boutique shopping,
Because we stay in Prominence, we spend time at The Big Chill (it's across the street) for live music, food, and events. Riding bikes is always a family favorite, and, of course, the beach is where we spend most of our time. Beach access is a short golf cart or bike ride away.

After a quick stop in New Orleans and Tennessee, we are headed home and happy about it! The best part of returning from vacation is knowing you are content with your real life.
