Friday Favorites~June 30, 2023

We are fully recovered from vacation and back to our summer routine...which is glorious!  A little bit of work, new projects, outside fun, family time, and rest. We {heart} summer.

ONE

One of my goals for this year was to focus on "less but better" in all areas of my life. One area in particular is my closet. For years, I wore a denim jacket from The Gap that did not fit me well but I had bought on sale. When I would see a picture of myself in said jacket I would think, "Ugh! I hate that way that looks!" Why do we continue to settle for what no longer serves us? Discussion for another time... :)
Anyway, I donated that jacket so someone who looked cute in it could find it at a good deal and researched new jackets for myself. After settling on what I was looking for and trying it on in a boutique during vacation, I ordered the wash I wanted (clean wash) online and used the code YOURIMPACT to get 20% off. This weekend, use code USA25 for 25% off! Is it expensive? Yes. Do I love the way it looks and feels? Yes. I plan to have it forever. This company also allows you to exchange sizes one time, anytime during your life if your body changes; as bodies do. Love that. Love this company's mission too!

TWO

Scamanda Podcast

It's been a minute since I've blogged about my favorite podcasts, but it continues to be one of my chosen forms of entertainment while working out and driving.

This one...

Intriguing, frightening, and a bit triggering if you have ever dealt with someone with a personality disorder in your own life. You will love this investigative style podcast into Amanda Riley, a blogger and young mom who faked cancer for financial gain and attention. And being someone who loves words and writing, I love the play on words for the title!

THREE

I made these again this week and cannot dream up enough ways to eat them! So yummy on sandwiches, eggs, pizza, salads...see what I mean? They last for up to two weeks in the refrigerator and take about 15 minutes to make. Easy!

FOUR

My yearly summer historical fiction choice is a great one! This book is incredibly intriguing and interesting. It will not be the last one I read by this author. Set between WW2 and present day, women war pilots, steamy romances, and a Dior fashion mystery...what's not to love?

With that said, if you do not have a library card, go get one! It's the best way to test out different authors/styles of writing without the financial commitment. I love our local librarians and often have 3-4 books on hold at any given time. They just pile them up for me and contact me when I need to stop by and check them out. I am also a big fan of the app, Hoopla for audiobooks and, Libby for Kindle books. Both apps sync with your Library card and checkouts are FREE!

FIVE

A little 4th of July fun to round out this week's post! I ordered this exact bunting and we have owned the food baskets for years!
