Friday Favorites~July 28, 2023

It's the last Friday of summer break for me...I return to work next Wednesday.

We have spent our summer traveling, relaxing, reorganizing, and connecting with loved ones. Overall, it has been a smashing success.

Last Friday, we celebrated 11 years of marriage, and attended the wedding of some dear friends while also learning of the death of someone close to us. Life is amazing and heart-breaking and precious.

This week, I am sharing my favorite simple pleasures. This summer, I made it a goal to focus on micro-joys; little moments of happiness that bring me joy throughout the most ordinary days.

I am linking up with Andrea and Erika to share my Friday Favorites.

ONE

Dove Chocolate in the Freezer
Don't question it...just thank me later. I have one every night after dinner. They last longer and taste better frozen. Add to cart.

TWO

New Notebook

This new notebook makes me extremely happy. The fact that it matches my school colors makes me even happier.

THREE

Outdoor Walks

Lucky and Zoe...aka "The Grannies"

The dogs and I have been clocking 2-3 miles every morning, sometimes by ourselves and sometimes with our neighbor. Love starting the day outside and moving.

FOUR

Fresh Food and Sparkling Water

Our garden is starting to produce food and one of our highlights of the day is seeing what is ready to harvest and what we can eat with our dinner. Gardening brings me joy! Don't have a garden? Visit a local farmer's market and support someone who gardens as a way to support their family. Win win.

I drink sparkling water every day; sometimes in my Stanley and sometimes from a fancy glass. Either way, this flavor is my current favorite.

FIVE

Music

Our family is having a real moment with music this summer. Poolside, in the kitchen, while playing games...we love creating playlists on Spotify that only make sense to us. Music is a great way to set the tone in your house and can be an incredible source of joy.

Wishing you a weekend full of all your favorite simple pleasures.

Xx,

Deanna

  1. I hope your return to work goes well. Happy anniversary to you and your husband.
Oh wow! I just had to have a Google about your Dove chocolate, I recognised the packaging. Over here in the UK it's Galaxy chocolate.
What fab favourites. I do love a Spotify playlist.
