Friday Favorites~February 26, 2021

Happy last Friday in February! I've been over here busy with all the normal February things...hating my winter clothes, trying not to quit my job, and hitting snooze three times every morning. How about you?!

Sometimes it's the little things that make my day. In an effort to spread some February cheer, I am linking up with Andrea and Erika to share my Friday Favorites!

WATCH

I have two watch recommendations for you this week. Dan and I finished watching The Flight Attendant on HBO Max and OH MY GOODNESS! It is extremely fast paced and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Kaley Cuoco is fabulous and her character is a disaster. It is a great choice if you are in the mood for something suspenseful.

I am currently three episodes in to Firefly Lane and I love it! The teenage versions of the friends are my absolute favorite. This show is a coming of age, decade spanning show about two best friends. It is based on a book by Kristin Hannah. Have you seen the movie Beaches with Bette Middler? It reminds me of a modern day version of Beaches.

I have been told by several people to watch Behind Her Eyes on Netflix. Have any of you seen it? Would you recommend it?

READ

In the spirit of Firefly Lane, I chose to read The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah this month. Absolute five stars. The book takes place in Paris during World War Two and follows the lives of two sisters. Exquisitely written and impactful. I loved this book. Stop by the blog on Monday to read my February book reviews.

WEAR

I am on the hunt for some new spring clothes. I'll make sure to share all of my favorites on my LiketoKnow.it app. We have a surprise trip planned for spring break that has been rescheduled three times. Dan and I will both be fully vaccinated by then and we are willing to take the necessary precautions to travel. I have been busy buying cute things for our trip and realized how much I have missed traveling!

NEED

One of the shoe trends that keeps coming up for spring is anything with a braided leather detail. I have found a few that I like but pulled the trigger on these from Target. they are so comfortable and also come in tan. Because this trend is so hot and the price point is so good, I know they will not last long.

I am receiving my second COVID vaccine tomorrow and am still planning to share our family's COVID story with you on the blog. I hate shots, so I am bribing myself with a little shopping after getting my vaccine. :)

Have a great weekend!

xo,
Deanna
