That's right...I've officially made it through the first full week of the school year! And to be completely honest? It has been rough. There are not enough hours in the day, adults are amped up, but...it is so incredibly awesome to have students back in the building full-time. We are under a mask mandate state-wide, but it seems to be going well so far.
On the homefront, back-to-school looks a bit different this year too. Peyton graduated college in May and is working and living in Chicago. He just returned from an epic fifteen day trip to Alaska with some friends.
Mason started 3rd grade and is the happiest little 3rd grader you ever did meet.
Meanwhile, Dan and I are over here starting our 16th and 23rd years in education. Bless.
Mason was very proud of his photography skills. We will work on his angles and the fact that we are standing like action figures. Ha!

Going back to work reminded me that I still needed to shore up my professional wardrobe. I ordered several things on Amazon last week with the intention of keeping a few of the items. Turns out, I'm keeping them all! I have only ordered clothing sporadically from Amazon but am now a believer! Every single one of these items is a keeper and has found a new home in my closet.
These are great pieces to transition from summer to fall. Pumpkin Spice anyone?!
