What a week it has been at our house! We have been enjoying this view inside...
...and this view outside...
I am linking up with Andrea and Erika today to share my Friday Thanksgiving Favorites!

ONE
Food and Games
It would not be Thanksgiving without all of the yummy food. Our family definitely has our favorites and I begin preparing everything on Wednesday. We are fortunate to have that day off of school. Dan, my dad, and Mason go to the local turkey farm to pick up the turkey I preorder in early October. I then prep the sides and get everything ready to pop into the oven on Thursday morning. This year we are hosting dinner for seventeen people! We eat our Thanksgiving meal as a late lunch so we can sleep, snack, and shop online for the rest of the day/night.
Because I'm cooking and prepping all day on Wednesday, the last thing I want to do on Wednesday night is make dinner. Years ago, we declared this pizza and game night. We order pizzas, cousins and friends come over and we play games. This year, you can bet we will be playing our favorites like

TWO
Hostess Gifts
I thought it would be helpful to share a few hostess gifts that are fun to bring along if you are headed to someone else's house. I love to pair a bottle of wine with one of these...
or a package of coffee beans with one of these...
You also cannot go wrong by gifting a fun holiday book like this one...
Of course, you can check out all of my hostess gift ideas on my gift guide. There is just enough time for these to arrive!
THREE
Comfy Clothes
While hostess gifts are optional, comfy clothes on Thanksgiving are a must! I do not think you can go wrong with this combo...
...a tunic sweater..
FOUR
Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday
On Thursday night/Friday you can find me on the couch with my laptop hitting up the sales. I used to love going Black Friday shopping, but now no amount of savings could get me to leave my house on this day. On Saturday, our family shops the local square and spends the day shopping small. I only participate in Cyber Monday if I have a snow day (it happened one glorious year), or over my lunch if the deals are great.
I have my eye on a few Black Friday deals that I will share on Instagram stories throughout the next week if you are interested!
FIVE
Gratitude
Finally, Thanksgiving would not be complete without giving thanks for the blessings in our lives. One Thanksgiving, many years ago, I had to make some very tough decisions to get myself and my then two little boys out of a very scary situation. It is not lost on me that I now look around me on this holiday and truly thank God for not only bringing me through than time, but for graciously giving me the things I once prayed for.
I am also grateful that you choose to stop by my little corner of the internet and I thank you for showing up for me in this way! Each visit, click, and comment truly makes my day.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful Thanksgiving Day!
xo,
Deanna
