Friday Favorites~January 14, 2022

Happy 2022!

I'm determined to make it so!

Life still feels a bit heavy these days, and flipping a calendar page does not change that. However, flipping my mindset eventually will. My first few weeks of 2022 have been spent getting my house, money, and mind in order. I have been filling my time with my family, organizing, and things that bring be joy. I love a new year and the fact that I am 100% responsible for how I choose to show up in the world! I am content with my life and also so excited to improve and grow.

My theme for the year....

Give me all the good vibes.

Dan and I still start each year with our goal setting date. You can read about that here.

Today, I am linking up with Andrea and Erika today to share my Friday Favorites. And today's Friday Favorites are full of JOY, just in case you need some as well!

ONE

Encanto on Disney+

Oh my heart. If you have not watched this movie yet, do yourself a favor and watch it this weekend. Whatever age you are, you will adore this movie; the message, the music...pure joy. And you'll be singing about Bruno for weeks after. #catchytunes

TWO

This was one of the first books I read in January. Being present is something I know is the key to a happy and fulfilled life. Like many people, I struggle with distraction. This book is interesting, but also gives super practical advice on how to be indistractable with your family, at work, etc. The author is not anti-technology, which I love. This book encouraged me and gave me sound advice on how to be indistracable.

THREE

Fridge Bins/Game Pouches

One of the things that brings me joy is organizing. Whether it's my house or someone else's, I love spending time bringing order out of chaos. I bought these bins for my refrigerator and now putting groceries away brings me joy as well.

I also found these zippered pouches and think they would be perfect for organizing Mason's Lego sets. I've also seen people use them for board games. Taking things out of their original containers and putting them in new containers is one of the greatest joys of my life. 😂

FOUR

Ted Lasso

I know I am very late to the party, but Ted Lasso is what the world needs right now. This is one for you to watch without the kids. Quirky characters, smart writing, and optimism...my favorite kind of TV. I can't get enough.

FIVE

Zoe Zehr

Our dog. We love her and she brings us joy. I thought this picture would make you feel good too. Zoe is a Miniature Goldendoodle and she is four years old. She is human and you cannot convince us otherwise.

And yes, we were watching the Suite Life of Zach and Cody Movie. On Wednesday nights, we celebrate the middle of the week with "Winter Wednesdays". We eat breakfast for dinner (Mason's favorite) and he picks a movie or a game for the family...because...joy.

I hope my little corner of the internet helps to bring a bit of joy to you each and every week. What else is bringing you joy these days? I'd love for you to share!

Have a JOYFUL weekend!

xo,

Deanna
